Downsize - Decluttering, Packing, Unpacking & Staging

Before :

Our client, Sylvia, downsized into an assisted living facility with a small budget and many restrictions. Her favorite candles were not allowed, only small pictures with adhesive strips could be hung on the walls and unfortunately, no curtains were allowed. Sylvia let us know she wanted bedding in her favorite shades of peach and cream and a dedicated picture wall. A special frame that can hold 9 photos was requested, one space for each of her 9 grandchildren.

The goal... to help make this stage of Sylvia's transition smooth and comfortable and hopefully even enjoyable!

Facing bare walls and having a small decorating budget, Stages focused on creating an inexpensive, cozy and welcoming space where Sylvia can be surrounded by her cherished possessions.

After :

Sylvia's beloved shades of peach and cream now envelop her suite in warmth and tranquility. Flameless candles were purchased to give her the soft candle light she was craving. Her crystal tree of life, a treasured gift from her children, was proudly displayed in the candle light. Her mother's delicate porcelain flower, the rocks she collected from the Grand Canyon and her husband's ashes are all close by bringing her comfort and peace. At the heart of her picture wall, her husband's photograph is lovingly centered, below the requested picture frame that eagerly awaits the family photos that are being selected by her grandchildren.

This thoughtful arrangement proves that even on a smaller budget, every person deserves compassion and respect while embracing their new STAGE of Life!
